Duplex Unit 1 - In Progress

Based on our learnings from the Prototype Unit (see below), we dramatically changed both the design of the Simply Home units. We switched from a single family home model to building duplexes to reduce the per unit build cost. We reimagined the space to include vaulted ceilings, reconfigured the space for better utilization, and expanded the footprint from 365 square feet per unit to 450. As of January 9, 2023, we are in process of building the first duplex at 2023 College Avenue, Kansas City, MO.

Prototype Unit

Simply Home has tested our concept for build cost, build process, and tenant response by building a prototype unit in Kansas City. This was a major learning experience that informed key changes in Simply Homes design and business model, and tested our core assumptions.
